London-based Ariya Capital to invest US$450 million in Uganda

A London-based company, Ariya Capital, has committed itself to investing US$450 million in Uganda to develop another airport in the country that will be known as Lukoma International Airport near SangoBay along the shores of Lake Victoria in Rakai district. The constructionof the facility has been proposed by the Government of Uganda.

Japanese royals launch new Jinja bridge construction

  The visiting Prince and Princess Akishino of Japan have this morning laid a foundation stone for the construction of the new bridge over River Nile at Jinja in Eastern Uganda. The ceremony was also in commemoration of their visit to Uganda as well as cementing the existing relationship between the peoples of two countries Japan and Uganda.
