I have read your comments in response to my earlier statement. I thank all of you for giving your views. This is a good and productive way of communicating; no need for violence and “fujo”.

Fellow Ugandans, thank you for your responses following my most recent post on events that followed the by-election in Arua Municipality. 
 
The problem in Arua was caused by Bobi Wine's group together with Kassiano Wadri, who attacked me, a useless action because I am protected and I can defend myself. 
 
The more serious issue is these chronically indisciplined people...

Greetings. Some days have gone by while what President Trump calls "fake news" generators, especially the Monitor and their TV, the NTV, have been putting it out that our grandson, the indisciplined Bobi Wine, is gravelly ill, he cannot talk etc. 

They were putting it out that because of their "rough" handling of the MPs while arresting them, the Security forces...

President Museveni on the just concluded Arua Municipality elections

Countrymen, Countrywomen, especially the Bazukulu (grand-children). Greetings. The elections in Arua Municipality were held peacefully because the organisers of violence and criminality had been arrested. 

The independent, the Hon. Kassiano Wadri, was declared the winner and the Hon. Nusura Tiperu of the NRM was number two. 

This is a step-forward, to have elections without violence, without threats. Nobody has got a...

I always insist on singling out the grandchildren because I want them to be conversant with our rich experiences spanning a period of 58 years. 
 
I understand that some of our people were worried about the endless criminal acts of elements of the Opposition, including the incidents of Arua on Monday.

On Monday, June 4th, I was hosted as a guest on a morning TV political show alongside the Buhweju County MP, Francis Mwijukye. The show was happening just three days after the FDC flagbearer, Betty Muzanira, had narrowly won the Rukungiri Woman MP by-election.

At the invitation of HisExcellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi undertook a State Visit to Uganda from 24 - 25 July 2018.  He was accompaniedby a high-level delegation of senior officials of the Government of India and a large business delegation. Thiswas the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 21 years.
