President concludes visit to Ethiopia

President Yoweri Museveni is back in the country from Bahar Bar, the Capital of the Amhara Region in Northern Ethiopia where he addressed a 2-day conference on the security of the African continent.

The conference that tackled a number of topics related to the causes of insecurity on the African continent was also addressed by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Mr. Meles Zenawi, the President of Somalia Sheikh Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti and former South African President, Mr. Thambo Mbeki. Former Nigerian President, Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo, chaired the conference.

The President was seen off in Ethiopia by the Amhara Regional President Mr. Lew Gobeze, State Minister for Water, Ms. Betty Bigombe, the Mayor of Bahar Bar City, Mr. Machew Wenduw Agang, the President of Bahnbas University, Dr. Bayle Damte and Uganda’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mr. Mull Katende.
