President Yoweri Musevini has received and held talks with Mr. Mikhail V. Margelov, who is a Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on cooperation with African countries.
During a meeting that took place last evening at State House Entebbe, the Mr. Margelov congratulated President Museveni and the people of Uganda upon Uganda’s 50th independence anniversary.
President Museveni and the Russian delegation discussed a wide range of issues concerning development and investment opportunities in Uganda as well as other regional matters.
He extended an invitation to Russian enterprises to invest in Uganda, especially in areas that are crucial for value addition to the country’s products and infrastructure. He said that Uganda has a wide market and blessed with an abundance of raw materials that are only awaiting serious companies to tap into them as there is there are many market opportunities.
The meeting was attended by the Russian Ambassador to Uganda Sergey Shiskin.
