* Tanzanian VP salutes President Museveni for inviting Tanzania to the 4th Integration Projects Summit
* Glowing tribute from Somalia for Uganda's outstanding role to restore peace & security in the country
President Yoweri Museveni received the Prime Minister of Somalia Abdiwal Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed with whom he reviewed the security situation in Somalia. The meeting took place on the 20th of February 2014 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces(UPDF) make the biggest contingent of soldiers who are part of the peace keeping mission, AMISOM in Somalia.
Mr. Mohammed paid glowing tribute to President Museveni for his outstanding role towards the restoration of peace in his country.
President Museveni also received the Tanzanian Vice President Dr. Mohammed Gharib Bilal who was in the country to represent President Jakaya kikwete at the 4th Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summit.
President Museveni and his guest discussed bilateral issues between Uganda and Tanzania.
During the Summit, the Tanzanian Vice President Dr. Bilal saluted President Museveni for inviting Tanzania to attend the meeting. He observed that Tanzania was convinced that the summit of the Northern Corridor Integration Projects will accelerate development in the region.
