President Yoweri Museveni has returned from Rwanda where he attended a series of programmes including giving a key address at the Pan African Youth Conference held at
Serena Hotel Kigali under the theme: "Beyond Liberation movements Sharing Our Future".
President Museveni also attended the 6th Northern Corridor Projects Integration Summit that took place in Kigali yesterday.
The summit was aimed at reviewing the progress made on implementation of the directives given during the 5th Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summit held in Nairobi in May and to provide direction on deepening regional integration.
The Northern Corridor Infrastructures Project is an initiative of East African leaders aimed at fast-tracking regional development through joint infrastructure, trade, political and economic integration.
The President later joined the people of Rwanda to celebrate that country's 20th liberation anniversary today in Kigali.
On his return to Uganda, the President was received on arrival at Entebbe International Airport this evening by Security Minister, Mr. Muruli Mukasa. Others included Head of Public Service Mr. John Mitala, the Commander of Air Force Maj. General Sam Turyagyenda, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Assan Kasingye and the Ag Commissioner of Prisons, Mr. Andrew Kisitu.
