President Yoweri Museveni has received and held a meeting with President Jacob Zuma of South Africa who came into the country today to Uganda for a one day working visit. The meeting took place at State House, Entebbe.
The South African leader was accompanied, among others, by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms. Maite Nkoana- Mashabane and the State Minister for Security, Mr. David Mahlobo.
Welcoming the South African President to Uganda, President Museveni said “We should go together with one heart and cross Limpopo.”
President Zuma described President Museveni as the President of the important country in the region. “President Museveni and Uganda has a very inspiring position of Pan Africanism as well as the defense of our continent. When we come here, we come to consult and we come when we are sure that we get good advice.”
Mr. Zuma said that they have had a very good meeting discussing very important issues. He added that they were going back very happy.
During a luncheon hosted by President Museveni in honour of President Zuma, the Vice Chairman of NRM Alhajji Moses Kigongo introduced members of the NRM Central Executive Committee to the visiting South African leader. President Zuma also introduced members of his delegation.
