“Stop stoking tribal tensions” – Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has told leaders in Acholi and Madi sub-regions in Northern Uganda that they should desist from preaching sectarianism and dividing their people. Speaking to leaders of the Madi Sub-Region in Adjumani District, President Museveni said the NRM was a party of peace and its leaders should focus on solving people's problems rather than stoking sectarian tensions.

President commissions UPDFs infantry vehicle ‘Chui’

President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned the latest infantry fighting vehicle code named Chui, designed and manufactured  in Uganda by the UPDF. “I am happy that you are towing this line. Uganda spends over $550 million each year on importing vehicles from Japan and Europe. All the money we get from selling coffee, which is about $500 million, goes back to Europe through the importation of vehicles. This must stop,” he said. 

Whoever disturbs the peace of Uganda will perish – Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has vowed that nobody will disturb peace of Uganda and anybody who tries will perish. “Nobody will disturb the peace of Uganda. Anybody who tries will perish because the army is strong,” the President said referring to the recent twin bombings in Kampala that left six people dead including the 3 terrorists who blew themselves up.
