President spends a night at Chobe Safari Lodge

President YoweriMuseveni commended the management of Chobe Safari Lodge for giving the facility a state of the art face lift to International Standards that he said will be ideal for the comfort of tourists visiting the country.

The President, who was on his way to Agago district to attend the victory celebrations of the area MP Hon. Okot, spent Friday night 3rd February 2012 at the 5-Star Chobe Safari Lodge. The President was impressed by the modern touch in the refurbishment of the Lodge that he officially opened on the 17th November 2010.

Chobe Safari lodge is located in the Murchison falls National Park in the new district of Nwoya in the Acholi Sub-Region in Northern Uganda. The facility is projected to host a big number of tourists as Uganda was rated the best tourist destination in the whole world in 2012 by the US-based Platinum Tourist Guide. Chobe Safari Lodge commands breathtaking panoramic views with the roaring sounds of the River Nile depicting magnificent rapids and also offers a unique sampling of wild life, birds, flora and fauna in addition to being an ideal spot for fishing.

The 5-Star ChobeSafarai Lodge has 36 rooms, in addition to 6 super deluxe rooms, 8 standard rooms, a honey moon suite and a Presidential suite.

The President was accompanied to the viewing of the spectacular scenery at the Chobe Safari Lodge by the Director of Operations (Tourism), Mr. Mann-Khan and the General Manager, Mr. Richard Hodgson.
